These projects and companies promote technology, communications, and kreativity in the global entertainment market, maintaining their own independent philosophies and management structures overseen by CKMG. CKMG identifies the niche markets that these projects are kreating, and through use of technology and the digital world, promotes and advances their visibility. The StoryIt began when Brandon Crawford and Bart Kupczyk were paired as college roommates at DePaul University in Chicago, IL; both with the aspiration of majoring in business. They found that their commonality went beyond, and began throwing parties off campus in clubs, lofts, and houses to bring people together, desegregate Chicago and promote having a good time. Things turned from having a good time when they organized a concert that, in its failure, lost the two of them a significant amount of money. Falling back on their original business sense, they stopped throwing parties and organized their mental energy on strategizing around how to continue to have fun and be connected to the entertainment industry in a way that was not only profitable for themselves, but for society. To see their dreams of connecting the entertainment industry to a new business model of being sustained within a global technological market, it only made sense that the two of them moved to the city of opportunity, where dreams are made into reality, and where reality is being produced and made visible: Los Angeles. Arriving here in 2006, they focused on their first company, securing angel investors, and then went on to develop a skilled team. This team organically grew from being social and present on the scene with everyone having a vision of diversity through technology and kreativity. They took this idea out of their heads and into the city, finding that people, and companies, were genuinely interested in supporting, and investing in, their dream.
